Glorious Georgian Butterfly in 18K

Set with pale amethysts , citrenes, garnet and pearl, this stunning Georgian gem is a perfect example of the period. The gold work is perfectly rendered and shows little or no wear. the piece is presented in a box bearing the mark of an English jewelry shop. We do not know if it is original to the brooch, but it certainly provided excellent protection for the piece.
