Victorian Mauchlin Ware Grouping - Four Items

Mauchlin Ware originated in South West Scotland in the town of Mauchlin. This small group is a family of wooden souvenirs made over a period of more then 100 years. The wood comes from the sycamore tree. Most of the pieces were decorated with scenes of castles, towns all over Scotland, as well as famous personalities and tourist attractions. Manufacture continued until 1933 when the last Mauchlin Ware factory burned to the ground.
